My research focuses on how the potential, quality and sustainability of biomaterials can be improved for their specific application – including bone and dental replacements
Research projects
- Hydration or reaction mechanisms are investigated experimentally using comprehensive methodology (QXRD, WF calorimetry, TGA, simulation calculations, modelling, etc.)
- Correlations in the interaction of reactive Calcium phosphate phases with H2O or solutions with organic additives are clarified
- Chemical stability and durability of lithium silicate glass ceramics and cements for dental use are investigated and optimized
